Ron Berger, the guru of project-based learning and 'Expeditionary Learning' schools, describes an ethic of learning excellence and gives strategies to build and sustain a school culture predicated on this ethic. His book discusses this broad notion of excellence that includes excellence in academics, arts and creativity, and character.

Thanks for sharing this title, Georgia. To be honest, I'm a bit surprised that it's not on here already! Have you read the book in its entirety? I've only read snippets but am excited to delve deeper over the course of the year. Apart from critique, I wonder what other structures Mr. Berger recommends for instilling an ethic of excellence in his students . . .
